Frequenty Asked Questions | Family Photography

When will out images be ready? Your images will be processed and ready within 1-2 weeks of your session. I will then upload them to a private gallery for you to view and choose your favourites.

What should we wear? I suggest keeping it plain and simple - wear neutral, comfortable, coordinated (but not matching) clothes. There are style guides available all over Pinterest if you're so inclined, but as long as the clothes are clean, ironed and free from distracting elements like large logos, stripes, and bedazzling you'll look great! Think classic and timeless.

How should we dress our children? Again, no need to go over the top and purchase new outfits just for the shoot. For newborns, please bring several clean changes along with a few clean blankets and muslins for newborns that are, again, neutral colours/patterns. I have a selection of wraps and blankets available but it's also nice to have the personal touch with your own blankets.

What if we have to re-schedule?  Not a problem. Simple give me a call with as much notice as you can and we'll re-schedule for another day. Your booking fee will be carried over for the next session.

Are you a Cherubs or Bounty qualified photographer? There is no such thing as a qualification in a specific form of photography. There is education and training (of which I’ve had both) but these do not equal qualifications. These organisations are subscription based and I have chosen not to pay a fee to be specifically associated with them as I don't believe it adds value to what I offer and I do not wish to pass those costs onto parents in my fees. I also do not agree with soliciting parents on maternity wards hours after their baby is born so choose not to buy your data from Bounty or Cherubs or be affiliated with them. I do not want to take away from good photographers who happen to be associated with these organisations, as I respect talent when talent is shown.

Privacy and Safety

Your family's safety is of utmost importance to us. The photographs you see in my portfolio are all previous clients who have kindly allowed me to share some of their images. Unlike many photographers, I will not make you sign a model release forcing you to allow me to share images.  Not all clients want their photos displayed on my website and I completely respect your right to privacy. We take the protection of children and babies very seriously; file access is restricted in a password protected gallery on a secure server and digital negatives are kept on a hard drive under lock and key. I have a current Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check (formally enhanced Criminal Records Bureau CRB check) and possess public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
