Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to be the Somerset wedding photographer for this spectacular Castle wedding at Walton Castle. Nestled in the hills between Clevedon and Portishead, the castle was the perfect backdrop for a fairy tale wedding. Everything about this day was inspirational - not just from a wedding photographer's standpoint, but also from someone planning their own wedding (me, that is!). The couple chose me to photograph their wedding as they were looking for natural, unposed shots along with minimal group photos - documentary wedding photography for 99% of the day, sounds perfect! Their wedding was one of the most relaxed, fun and emotional weddings I've been to recently and I'm so glad that I was part of their day. The couple decided on a full weekend wedding so everyone could spend time together - wedding days are over so quick so I think a multi-day wedding is a great idea if the venue (and budget) permits.
A huge thanks to the lovely Tom and Lucy and to all the other suppliers that made this Somerset wedding a joy to photograph! Here are a few of my favourites.
Whatever your thoughts are on children at weddings, those page boy outfits and flower girls clothes were just a little bit adorable - and the kids had a great time running around a castle for the weekend; garden games, ice cream and their very own castle, what more could a child want.
