Bristol is a great city to live in and I'm very fortunate to have lived in Bristol for the past 7 years. There are so many parks and outdoor spaces, it isn't hard to find a location for a family photoshoot, but there are a few favourite places I return to when I'm working with families. Some of the best locations in Bristol for family photoshoots, which also happen to be some of the more popular with my clients, are Leigh Woods, Ashton Court, Tyntesfield House and Blaise Estate. All of these areas have a mix of woodland, open shade, easy pathways, are all very well maintained and have ample car parking. If you have a favourite park that isn't on my list, I'm always up for trying new venues so please get in touch and we'll book in a family photo session, with prices from only £50.
Autumn, one of my favourite times of the year and a great season for an outdoor family photoshoot. Even though the leaves were mainly down and it wasn't a particularly nice day, these two brothers were troopers and didn't mind getting in the dirt for a play.Read More
A few weeks ago I met up with this young professional family from Bristol for a family photography session.
They were after a documentary family shoot to get those natural, relaxed moments that you just don't get in a photo studio with a white backdrop. My approach to family photography is about capturing the moments that count; it's not always about the smiles, but the real connections between real people.
