Although this wasn't my first time doing Walton Castle Clevedon wedding photography, it sure was a great one!Read More
It was a grey and chilly February morning for this seaside family photo session, but these guys were great sports and I actually really love how Clevedon Pier looks in this weather. I've photographed weddings at Clevedon Pier in July with similar weather so rain or shine it's a great place for photos. I find location and activity based family photo shoots result in much more natural photos by giving the family space to play, interact and have a great time! Get in touch if you'd like to book a spring family photo session in Clevedon, Portishead or the Bristol area.
I feel really lucky to have been the Walton Castle wedding photographer a number of times over the years for some fantastic, creative weddings. To have your own castle for the weekend is just amazing and it's been great working with couples who were looking for a documentary wedding photographer to capture their day in an unobtrusive way. Here is a selection of images from a few of the weddings I've photographed, showing images from the wedding day as well as different set-ups that couples can choose to have.
I'll be at their open day this Sunday, January 8th, so please stop by to discuss your wedding photography as well as to meet many other preferred suppliers of Walton Castle.
When you're planning your wedding and start finding out about what you can (and very often can not) do at venues, Walton Castle is quite refreshing in that it's a blank slate for doing pretty much anything you want too. Indoor or outdoor wedding ceremony, small and large marquees, access to the turrets to use as bars, ceremony or function rooms. Here are a few of the set-ups I've seen. The first is a small, open-air marquee with an outdoor ceremony.
This set-up was for a summer wedding with an outdoor ceremony and a large marquee set up outside the castle walls.
This was a wedding of around 80 guests with an outdoor ceremony and a smaller marquee inside the castle walls.
I was lucky enough to be the Clevedon Hall wedding photographer for Fiona and Alex's wedding on this stunner of a summer's day. Lucky because not only do I live around the corner from Clevedon Hall near Portishead, but also because of how relaxed and fun the day was with this great couple and their friends. With very few 'formal' type pictures, I could document the day, capturing all the fun and emotional 'moments between moments', exactly what they were after in a reportage wedding photographer. Here are a few pictures from the day. Thanks for stopping by and if you're thinking of getting married in Clevedon or Somerset please have a look at other great Clevedon wedding venues like Clevedon Pier Wedding Venue and Walton Castle Wedding Venue.
