Bath Wedding Photographer

Orchardleigh House Wedding Photography

A couple of years ago I was asked by a friend and fellow photographer to assist at this very large Orchardleigh House wedding. I've been the Bath wedding photographer on a number of occasions but this was my first wedding at Orchardleigh House - and what a venue it was! Here are a few pictures from that day, where I was focusing more on the groom prep and guests as the other photographer captured the formal and group pictures.

Priston Mill Wedding Photography | Bath Wedding Photographer

Priston Mill Wedding Photography by Scott Wilson.

Through the recommendation of previous wedding clients, I was asked by to be the Bath wedding photographer for this beautiful country house wedding at Priston Mill. Priston Mill is a rural, luxury wedding venue south of Bath. Michelle and Darryl were looking for a natural, documentary style wedding photographer so they could enjoy their day and relax with their friends and family, without standing around for hours getting pictures at all the local landmarks. They were two of the kindest, most genuine people I've met and it was a true pleasure getting to know them and to be asked to photograph their wedding.

The day started off getting ready at Radford Villa, near Bath, in their amazing reception room. A vintage wedding car then brought Michelle to Priston Mill for an emotional walk across the gardens to her waiting husband to be. We were so lucky with the weather that day so that they could have the outdoor ceremony they were after. A huge thank you again for having me there as part of your wedding day!

Bath Wedding Photographer | Homewood Park | Documentary Wedding Photography

A documentary wedding photographer's take on detail shots. As the wedding photographer for this Homewood Park wedding in Bath, I could have taken a shot of the dress hanging against the wall on its own (and did, to be fair) but by putting a bit of effort into it, you get a much more memorable photograph. Detail shots are pretty boring and don't really tell the story of the wedding at all so I always try to get the detail shots with a bit of context. The dress, rings, shoes, place settings, etc are all important aspects of a wedding, no doubt, but shots like the one below, which includes the mother of the groom laughing with the mother of the bride, tell much more of a story.
